Double Scoop

“Are you ready yet?” Rin cried, knocking on her brother’s door. “What?” Len called out. “Our double date? With Kaito and Miku? Did you forget?” “No…”
Len came out, and both twins stared at each other. “Is that the best you could find?” Rin asked. Len looked down on his outfit; white t-shirt with yellow sleeves coming out of the white sleeves, and light brown pants. “You look like a banana.” Rin said, sighing. “I like bananas.” “I know.” Len saw that Rin was dressed in a cute yellow sundress, with light lace at the bottom, and her usual white bow holding up her hair. “You look cute, though.” She smiled. “Thank you.”
“We should go. They’re probably waiting there already.” Rin said. Len nodded and left with his sister.

Rin was right. Both Miku and Kaito were already at the ice cream parlor.
Miku was glaring at Kaito, probably plotting to kill him with a leek, and Kaito was trying to look away and not looked uncomfortable. Rin felt sorry for him, and wonder what was Miku’s problem with him was.
“Miku! Kaito!” Rin called out, waving her hand in the air in hopes to get their attention. Rin ran up and hugged Kaito, and Miku almost squeezed Len into banana mush.
The four of them went in and sat down, with Len sitting next to Miku and Rin and Kaito opposite of them. After they ordered, they began to chat.
“So, Miku, what have you been up to?” Rin asked. “Oh, nothing much. Do solos, duets. Putting designs and the like. The usual.” Rin felt her eyebrow twitched.
“Bananas are awesome.” Len said, almost drooling. He was happy he ordered a banana split sundae. “So is ice cream!” Kaito chimed in, smiling.
“You know you need to cut own ice cream, or you’ll heart attack.” Miku said, waving her hands at him. “You can die from eating ice cream?!” Len cried. “If you too much at once, you can.” Miku replied. “That only happened once.” Kaito said, brooding. “You’re lucky Luka was there! We had to get twelve pounds of ice cream pumped out of you. . .”
A waiter came by, with a paled face. “Y—Your order is ready…” Len eyed the banana sundae on the tray, and licked his lips.
“Double vanilla sundae?” Both Kaito and Len raised their hands. Both their faces went into shock and confusion. “You ordered the same?” Kaito asked.
“I’m sorry. I can go fix that…?” the Waiter said. “No, it’s fine. We can share!” Len said, smiling. Rin felt a draft coming off her brother, and she sighed. Kaito shrugged, sighed, and nodded a ‘fine’.
The waiter shrugged and gave Miku her mint chocolate chip and Rin her sherbet ice cream. “This looks delicious.”  Rin said. Miku hummed in delight from the taste of her ice cream.
They all finished their ice creams without any more incidents, besides Kaito having to share him ice cream with Len. He just gave him the bananas and ate the majority of the vanilla ice cream. Len took one of the cherries, balanced it on his nose, and dropped it in his mouth. He smiled with delight as the cherry tasted good in his mouth.
After Len and Kaito were done, they paid their check, and went outside.
“That was good, thank you.” Kaito said. “No, thank you for joining us.” Rin said, blushing.
“You still have some whipped cream on your face, Len.” Miku said. She grabbed a napkin and whipped it off his check and nose. “It was good.” Len protest. Miku sighed and chuckled.
“Well, I guess I’ll be seeing you latter.” Rin said. Kaito nodded and said nothing. “See you later!” Len said, with a bright smile. Miku nodded and smiled.
Rin pulled Len back to their house, where Len fell asleep from all the ice cream he ate. Rin shrugged, changed into some comfy clothes, and relaxed for the rest of the day.
