Personality: A bit of a loner on most days. He may look really skinny, that's because he's anemic, but he can eat three courses and still be hungry! The sun robs him of his energy and makes him weak, so he wears a cloak all the time. If he doesn't get enough food, he may pass out during one of his lessons(which he did, once). He has a stomach of a dragon, and can find and store food like a pirate. He favors the moon rather the sun, because of his 'condition'. Because he is pale and never goes out into the sun, people--including students--think he's a vampire, but everyone is scared to find out for themselves. He keeps to himself, but you can hear him mumbling/complaining about something. He can usually quiet a classroom just by staring at his students with his red bright eyes. He has a chilling atmosphere around him, and isn't afraid to break up a fight(or finish one). Using his cloak, which is tattered, he can glide through the night(he would never go out and do this in the daytime)like a vampire bat. (And no, he is not a vampire!). But he cares for his students(it's his job and his pay)and will protect them with his own soul and give up his own shadow if he has to. He has a nasty bite, and we're not talking about his teeth, he can use his Soul Wavelengths as an attack, and it's super powerful!

Background: He was always a loner. Going from place to place. However, he was a teacher at another Academy, a bit different but somewhat the same. However, that school crumbled and the teachers were abandoned. So he stumbled his way into Death City after that crisis. Unfortunately, he made it to the Death City during mid-Summer, when the Sun was the hottest ever; and he was so hungry. He stumbled into Under the Shade, a bed and breakfast type of bar, but he couldn't drink anything, the bar owner wouldn't allow it. Getting kicked out he walked through Death City, ducking under shade; looking like a big idiot. All over Death City, but no one can spare a meal or four this starving man. He finally passed out in front of the DWMA, at the time Spirit was looking for Maka and found a dying Fang instead. They took him in, gave him the best turkey and ham he ever tasted and offered him a job.

Official Partner: Never bothered to get one. But he is willing to work with any weapon(if Death-sama threatens to 'Reaper-Chop!' him)
