We're Brothers

So here goes.

Jasper and Kurai were both brothers, Kurai being the older brother by a year. However, Jasper was out and Kurai was at home when the Wave struck(both survived). But the Wave changed them both, awakening Kurai's ability to control and manipulate fire and it made Jasper see souls just breifly.  Kurai was woken up by being chased by Creatures, and being shipped off to the island, Capital. He got sent to the medical/resident district, and he was told there was no survivors in his bloodline; so he imagined, thought, Jasper was dead. But he slowly forgot about Jasper by becoming friends with Clide, surviving life as a Pyromancer, and going into dream pods. Jasper, however, woke up with a pounding headache(he took a massive blow to the head, which broke his memories away), his body and head still in shock. He couldn't remember anything, or say anything. He managed to walk, or stagger really, to Death City, Nevada, being chased by Kishin. Medical services there managed to get him remember his first name, but not his last. He decided on 'blood', because that was the first thing he saw(being scraped and cut all over). But sometimes when Jasper sleeps, he has weird dreams that are actually Kurai's memories. However, whenever Kurai sleeps, he sees a dream demon representing regret he can never remember having(which would be Jasper).
